The Gambia Public Procurement Authority has been in existence since the enactment of the 2001 Procurement Act. This Act was then amended in 2014 inspired by the UNCITRAL Model Law for Public Procurement, and then into GPPA (Amendment) Act 2018 by repealing the major tender board into a modern state-of-the-art procurement law to ensure that our procurement law meets standards of international best practices.
